Rod Holloway was born in Boondall and was educated in the area.
He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws.
He was initially articled to his brother Barry Holloway who was a solicitor at Chermside.
He is an experienced Solicitor having been admitted to the profession as a Solicitor in December 1979.
He has practised from the Bracken Ridge area continuously since his admission.
Initially he worked in the Bracken Ridge office of his brother Barry Holloway under the firm name BJ Holloway & Co. He later opened his own firm Rod Holloway & Co which continues to operate now.
His early practice involved Business Law, Conveyancing, Commercial Law and Family Law.
His experience in these areas has led the firm to now concentrate on Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Conveyancing, Wills and Estates, Family Law Consent Orders, Estate Litigation and acting for Property Developers in most matters.
Rod brings with him a wealth of experience in these areas and the practical knowledge which 40 years of practice has given him.
For many years he acted for the Squire Group in their more than a dozen unit developments on the Sunshine Coast until they retired. He has knowledge of the drafting of Development Contracts for the sale of units off the plan and the processes required to follow the development through to registration.
He is regularly involved in litigation relating to contesting wills.
He receives instructions regularly from advisers to provide detailed estate plans for their clients and he works in tandem with them to achieve the required result.
With the transition to retirement he regularly provides advice on the issues concerning Retirement Villages and Manufactured Home contracts.
Rod is approachable, empathetic and provides a common sense and commercial approach to problem solving.
Karen Kerr
Karen Kerr is the Practice Manager and Senior Paralegal who has worked in a number of firms over the years and has now worked at Rod Holloway & Co in excess of 25 years.
Karen is a Qualified Justice of the Peace and has had a long career in the legal fraternity. She is able to discuss most file issues and welcomes your call. Karen is known for being a straight shooter and will give you logical advice when dealing with your file.
